You will begin lessons learning the basic drum rudiments that prepare beginning players for various styles of snare drum and percussion performance.

Sequential instruction will cover rudimental and roll studies, bass drum and cymbal techniques. Including solos suitable for recitals.

 

As you progress, you will cover the tonal properties of the snare drum, theme and variations, musical forms and solos.

You will also cover traditional rudimental style and corps style (by Jay Wanamaker).
